The first step is to get in touch with me and let me know a little bit about yourselves. We can then organise to meet in person and work out the finer details.
The next step is for me to take care of all of the formalities. You'll need to sign and few documents and I'll complete a few checks, but otherwise this part is the boring part.
The final step is the fun part, where we get to create a ceremony for you and your soon to be! This is where we can plan what you would like me to say, and the ceremony's timeline.

My name is Pat Coelho. I'm a young, fun and upbeat Canberra Marriage Celebrant. I am a husband, a dog dad, and recently, a Canberra top 10 Marriage Celebrant! My friends describe me as fun, funny and unique.
Delivering fun and memorable wedding ceremonies is something I am truly passionate about. All of my couples are unique in every way and very special to me. By booking me, you get me exclusively for the whole day, as I don’t take multiple bookings on the same day. This way if you’re running late or just decide you need more time to relax, I’m happy to wait and work around you. Essentially, you get my 100% attention on your wedding day.
I endeavor to make your wedding as special and as unique to you and your partner as possible and as your Marriage Celebrant, I do what you say (not the other way round). I will walk you through (step by step) everything you need to do to get married, this way you don’t have to worry about a thing!
Okay, let's get down to business.
In relation to my fee, my fee is a flat-rate fee of $1,000. Celebrants have a number of behind the scene costs including ongoing professional development, insurance, preparation of the legal stuff and transport time... Just to name a few!
The one-off and flat-rate fee is also inclusive of:
An obligation-free one-on-one consultation to determine your eligibility to marry (i.e. not currently married, you’re both over the age of 18, not too closely related and you are both getting married because you want to!)
Preparation and lodgement of all the legal paperwork with the relevant authorities on your behalf to make you officially and (more importantly) legally married. Normally it is the requirement of the marrying couple to complete the legal paperwork, but I like to provide as many extra services as I can - this way you can focus 100% on the wedding and I'll take care of the rest. I’ll also advise you what identification I’ll need to see and show you where to sign.
A unique wedding ceremony and transcript that is specific to how you and your partner met and what made you fall in love. When I compose this, it is sent to you for your valuable input and you’ll have an opportunity to make any changes (if any) you’d like. This is inclusive of unlimited drafts.
Unlimited face-to-face meetings and/or phone calls – essentially, if you need to talk to me, you can do so anytime at no extra charge!
Use of my PA system, which is an Ashton Smart Acoustic Wireless Portable Transporta. This comes with a cordless microphone.
A professionally printed commemorative marriage certificate.
My attendance at the rehearsal with you and the wedding party at the ceremony venue at least 24 hours before the big day. I highly recommended this and we are sure to have a blast! Okay, I can get a little bossy at the rehearsal, but only constructively!
Matching my attire to your chosen theme, ensuring I compliment the wedding party and so I don’t end up clashing in your photos. This way all of the attention is on the two of you!
